Lumbar Radiculopathy
Lumbar radiculopathy is a medical condition caused by compression or irritation of the nerve roots in the lumbar (lower back) region of the spine. These nerves branch off from the spinal cord and extend into the legs, so when they are affected, it can cause pain, weakness, numbness, or tingling that radiates from the lower back into the legs or feet.
Common Symptoms

Lower back pain that may radiate into the buttocks, legs, or feet.

Sharp, burning, or shooting pain following the path of the affected nerve.

Numbness or tingling in the legs or feet.

Weakness in the muscles of the leg or foot.

Difficulty with movement or coordination in the lower limbs.

Increased pain with activities like sitting, standing, or walking.

Reduced reflexes in the knee or ankle.
